Kelewele – A Night of Fun, Laughter and Bliss

Kelewele

The favorite time of the year for celebrating black history is around the corner once again and it comes this year with Kelewele, an Afriket event!

Every February, Black History Month provides an opportunity to celebrate the achievements and contributions of Africans (blacks), past and present, bringing attention to the vital role they have played throughout the history of the African. Oh, here are some movies  you may be interested in, still possibly on Netflix.

This year, in celebration of Black History Month and African Culture, Afriket presents Kelewele, a night of music, games, poetry, storytelling, varieties of African cuisines and many more! The goal is to celebrate the heroes of black history, and continue to connect Africans in Winnipeg, Canada to their roots; a constant reminder that Africans are Africans not because they were born in Africa, but because Africa was born in them.

Kelewele

Afriket is about connecting Africans to their roots through a digital marketplace, fashion, food, music and events, and Kelewele promises togetherness and an unforgettable experience.

Join us on Feb 8, 2020 for a night of endless thrill, fascination and new connections at the TableSpace CoWorking (196 Osborne St). Doors open at 5:01PM.

Tickets available here.
